On Aug. 4, VehicleVibes.com, Allstate’s automotive blog, co-sponsored the Hyatt4Good Tweet-up Tour in Chicago, where money was raised for Mashable’s Summer of Social Good charity fund.

During the Tweet-up, Marcia Hansen, Allstate social media manager, met Adam Hirsch, COO of Mashable and other social media influencers.

Marcia also had a chance to speak with Sarah Evans, a Chicago entrepreneur who was celebrating the launch of Sevans Strategy, a Chicago-based public relations and new media consultancy.
At the Vehicle Vibes table, Marcia handed out cool bumper stickers from FrienderBenders.com, the Allstate user-generated content site where you can create your own virtual pile-up.
The tour, which was held in six cities including New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, DC, Boston and Chicago, was an informal meet and greet for the social media community and a chance to raise money for some great charities.
The Summer of Social Good is an online charitable organization formed to raise funds online through the power of social media and the internet. Money from the campaign equally benefits The Human Society, LiveSTRONG, Oxfam America and WWF.
