Allstate Launches the Good Hands Community

by Marcia on August 13, 2009

Recently, Allstate launched the Good Hands (SM) Community. Members of the site can share stories, views and experiences on common topics central to Allstate’s goal of helping people protect what they have and prepare for the future.

Allstate launched this new online community as a way to engage with consumers in a non-marketing and non-traditional environment to better understand their needs and how best to help serve them.

Allstate wants to empower consumers through dialogue to share their hopes, dreams and challenges on topics such as vehicle ownership, making a difference in their community, managing daily spending, and personal finance.

Consumers can become members of the Good Hands Community by visiting the site. As members of the site, users have the opportunity to join discussion forums and comment on blog posts to share their opinions, experiences and ideas with other members.

In the spirit of trust and value, there will be no sales or solicitation-related activity allowed within the community. Further, the Good Hands Community values transparency and while professional moderators will follow discussions on the site to ensure they are appropriate they will not seek to censor conversations among members.
